Accounts and financial reports

Each year Selsey Town Council produces a budget.  The ongoing accounts are administered within a system specifically designed for local government accounts.  the financial year extends from 1st April until 31st March.  During the year the income and expenditure are closely monitored with in the guidelines set out in the Town Council financial Regulations.







The Town Council appoints 2 financial scruitinisers to oversee the accounts and an internal auditor, totally independent of the Council, is appointed to audit the accounts on an annual basis.  An external auditor is appointed by the Audit Commission to complete the annual return under the Audit Commission Act 1998 and the Accounts and Audit (England) Regulations 2011.
